SIGA Technologies (SIGA) said Tuesday it has signed an agreement to supply tecovirimat in Morocco to help the country prepare against a potential monkeypox outbreak.
The pharmaceutical company said the agreement, which arose from a request by the country's Ministry of Health to make the therapy available in Morocco, is its first commercial sale of treatment in Africa.
Tecovirimat is sold under the brand name TPOXX.
