智通财经APP获悉，美国国家气候顾问阿里·扎伊迪（Ali Zaidi）周一表示，拜登政府正在努力让已退役的核电站恢复运行，以帮助该国满足对无排放电力不断增长的需求。
在纽约举行的会议上，当被问及是否可以重新启动其他关闭的工厂时，扎伊迪表示，政府“正在以非常具体的方式开展工作”。他拒绝透露工厂的名称或透露有关此次行动的更多细节。
扎伊迪表示，重启搁置计划是政府三管齐下战略的一部分，旨在恢复更多核电以应对气候变化并提高发电量。他补充道，其他措施包括开发用于某些应用的小型核反应堆(SMR)和持续开发下一代先进反应堆。
据扎伊迪在会议上称，美国海军已要求提供有关在某些基地建造 SMR 的信息。“SMR 是一项不需几十年才能实现的技术。美国公司正在寻求在十年内部署这项技术，”他补充道。
尽管由于企业需求低迷、成本高、设备问题以及供应链问题等原因，墨西哥湾和俄勒冈州的风电租赁销售近期被搁置，但扎伊迪表示，到本世纪末实现 30 千兆瓦海上风电装机容量的目标中，至少有一半正在建设中。
