消息面上，特斯拉CEO马斯克在今天的发布会上宣布推出名为CyberCab的无人驾驶出租车和无人驾驶Model Y。对此，美银分析师认为，优步的网络可能会从自动驾驶汽车的竞争中受益。随着自动驾驶汽车公司寻求建立和改进其技术，竞争激烈的自动驾驶汽车市场将使优步的网络更有价值。Jefferies分析师也表示，Robotaxi最好的场景是Uber。
