纳斯达克金龙指数跌6.85%，收报7544.27点；热门中概股多数回调，房多多跌23.5%，富途控股跌13.07%，哔哩哔哩、微博跌超12%，携程网跌10.05%，京东跌逾7%，阿里巴巴跌逾6%，拼多多跌逾5%；涨幅方面，仅台积电涨0.83%。
美国商务部公布，8月贸易逆差降至704亿美元，市场原预期为705亿美元，7月逆差为788亿美元。8月出口上升2%至2717.6亿美元；进口下跌0.9%至3422亿美元。美联储理事杰斐逊称，美联储并未改变货币政策的方针。
中金表示，美联储再次降息50个基点的必要性下降，预计11月将降息25个基点。美联储在9月会议采取了大胆的降息50个基点的决策，当时的一个考虑是为了防止就业市场过快冷却。然而，9月的非农数据显示这种情况并未发生，这意味着美联储可以“喘一口气”，不需要再大踏步降息。整体上，该行认为美联储货币政策没有“落后于曲线”，下一次会议降息25个基点是合适的。
