CIMC Enric (HKG:3899) said its controlling shareholder China International Marine Containers (Group) (SHE:000039) increased its shareholding in the company by acquiring a total of 8,336,000 shares of the company on the market during Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, through its subsidiary China International Marine Containers (Hong Kong).
The purchased shares represent 0.41% of the total issued shares of the company and the average price paid for the purchase came in at HK$6.9260 per share, a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange said.
After the acquisition, China International Marine, through its subsidiaries, holds 68.01% of the total issued shares of the company, which is still able to maintain the required public float.
The gas equipment company's shares were 3% down on Wednesday's close.
