Namoi Cotton (ASX:NAM) suitor Louis Dreyfus raised its stake in the company to 71.96% from 70.12%, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Meanwhile, Olam Agri's offer for the ASX-listed cotton processor lapsed on Tuesday, effectively ending its takeover battle with Louis Dreyfus.
Namoi shareholders who accepted the Olam Agri offer retain ownership of their shares and are free to deal with them, according to a separate filing.
