智通财经APP获悉，两名知情人士称，瑞典电信设备制造商爱立信(ERIC.US)从印度Bharti Airtel获得了一份新的数十亿美元的5G设备销售合同。
上个月，爱立信获得了向印度沃达丰Idea出售5G设备的36亿美元合同的一部分。它与诺基亚和三星共享了这份合同。
预计这些新合同将提振爱立信明年的收入。今年上半年，爱立信在印度的合同大幅减少。
第二季度，该公司在东南亚、大洋洲和印度的销量下降了44%。爱立信将于周二公布第三季度业绩。
据一位知情人士透露，大部分部署可能会在明年进行。
印度5G市场的需求在2023年开始飙升，当时该地区的销售额增长了五倍之多，因为Airtel和印度企业集团信实工业旗下的电信子公司Jio开始扩大5G服务。
这一需求缓冲了爱立信在美国主要市场收入放缓的影响。美国电信运营商一直在削减支出。
