Mongolian Mining's (HKG:0975) run-of-mine coal mined increased 23% to 4,298.9 kilotons during the third quarter from 3,509.3 kilotons during the year-ago period, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
Run-of-mine coking coal processed fell 6% to 3,658.7 kilotons during the period from 3,903.3 kilotons a year earlier.
Washed coking coal production slipped to 1,928.9 kilotons from 1,931.2 kilotons, and washed coking coal sales increased 16% to 2,031.4 kilotons from 1,747.1 kilotons, the filing said.
The overall coking coal market fell during the period due to the performance of China's steel sector, the filing said.
Shares closed 3% higher during Monday's trading.
