African Gold Hits Mineralization at Ivory Coast Project; Shares Reach Two-Year High

African Gold (ASX:A1G) hit gold mineralization from an ongoing drill program at the Blaffo Guetto prospect within the Didievi gold project in the Ivory Coast, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Results from the second hole drilled at the prospect yielded up to 65 meters at 5.6 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 177 meters, confirming the depth extent of the prospect's mineralization, the miner said in the filing.

Shares of African Gold surged almost 111% in recent Tuesday trade and earlier reached their highest since October 2022.
