JD.com (HKG:9618) remained as China's largest private enterprise by revenue for the third year in a row in 2023, with total revenue of 1.08 trillion yuan, Yicai Global reported Monday, citing the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce's list of China's top 500 Chinese private companies.

The company was followed by fellow e-commerce giant Alibaba (HKG:9988), which logged revenue of 927.5 billion yuan last year, according to the report. Oil refiner Hengli Group came in third with revenue of 811.7 billion yuan.

China's largest 500 private companies logged a 5.2% annual rise in revenue to 41.91 trillion yuan in 2023, Yicai Global wrote.
