智通财经APP注意到，周三美股盘前，诺瓦瓦克斯医药(NVAX.US)股价一度跌近30%，此前美国FDA暂停了其COVID-19和流感联合疫苗以及独立流感候选疫苗的新药申请，理由是一名试验参与者出现严重不良事件。截至发稿，诺瓦瓦克斯医药跌16.83%，报10.61美元。
FDA表示：“临床暂停是由于在2023年1月接种疫苗的美国以外的一名CIC 2期试验参与者自发报告了严重的运动神经病变不良事件。”
该试验于2023年7月完成，受试者于2024年9月出现不良事件。
诺瓦瓦克斯首席医疗官罗伯特·沃克说：“我们正与FDA密切合作，提供必要的信息，使他们更好地理解这一观察结果，并解决临床问题。”
该公司表示，之前的COVID-19和流感试验没有显示出运动神经病变的迹象，临床搁置不会影响其独立的COVID-19疫苗的研究新药申请。
