Global Earnings Thursday: Hermès Sales Rise; Barclays Stock Rallies -- WSJ

Hermès (FR: RMS): The Birkin handbag maker reported a rise in sales, defying a slowdown in demand for luxury goods that has hit many of its competitors. Shares rose in Paris.

Unilever (UK: ULVR, UL): The consumer-goods company reported a bigger-than-expected rise in sales growth, led by its top brands. Shares rose in Europe.

Barclays (UK: BARC, BCS): The British bank reported strong results and raised revenue guidance, boosted by a rebound in investment banking. Shares jumped, on track to close at their highest level since 2015.

Anglo American (UK: AAL): Shares of the London-listed mining company rallied after it maintained or raised production targets for key metals.
