Granite Construction Receives $27 Million Contract to Enhance State Route 58/99 in California

Granite Construction (GVA) said Tuesday it received a contract worth approximately $27 million from the city of Bakersfield to enhance connectivity of the State Route 58/State Route 99 interchange in Bakersfield, California.

Under the terms of the contract, Granite will widen the bridge over State Route 99, which will be added to the current east bound State Route 58 bridge, and will also construct a new bridge that will be connected directly to north bound State Route 99, the company said.

Granite said it anticipates starting the construction in November and completing it by May 2026.
