Karat Packaging said it was hit by a cyberattack, which it reported to federal law enforcement.
The Chino, Calif.-based provider of disposable products to restaurants and foodservice establishments said Wednesday that it discovered unauthorized third-party access to its information systems last week, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Afterwards, the company activated its cybersecurity response plan to investigate the scope of the incident and contain the threat.
While the investigation is underway, Karat Packaging said that it doesn't believe the incident is material and that it hasn't disrupted business operations.
