0800 GMT - Unilever's third-quarter results were modestly better than expected and boosted by volumes, RBC Capital Markets analyst James Edwardes Jones writes. The earnings beat was a result of very strong ice cream performance "but it is nonetheless a decent result." The company reiterated full-year guidance and overall the results were "uneventful," which reflects how much the company has recovered, he says. Unilever saw lower growth in beauty due to a slowdown in China and the U.S., and homecare was impacted by price deflation. Shares rise 2.9% to 4,788 pence. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
