金吾财讯 | 针对矿业巨头必和必拓(BHP)有关2015年巴西马里亚纳大坝垮塌事件的诉讼将于周一伦敦高等法院开庭审理。此次诉讼的索赔金额高达360亿英镑(约合470亿美元)，是英国司法史上最大的诉讼之一。超过60万巴西个人、46个地方政府以及约2000家企业共同对必和必拓提起诉讼。据悉，2015年11月5日，必和必拓、淡水河谷(VALE)合资成立的矿业公司Samarco所经营的马里亚纳铁矿区尾矿库发生溃坝事故。大坝垮塌导致了大量尾矿泄漏，释放出的有毒气体造成19人死亡，数千人无家可归，同时森林被淹没，多西河也受到严重污染——该河流对克雷纳克土著部落具有特殊的意义。必和必拓对此次事件的责任提出了异议。必和必拓表示，这起诉讼与巴西当地已经进行的法律程序、赔偿及修复计划存在重复。该公司表示，已经通过2016年与淡水河谷成立的雷诺瓦基金会向受灾民众支付了接近80亿美元的资金。
