智通财经APP获悉，全球铁矿石巨头巴西淡水河谷公司(VALE.US)周四宣布，第三季度净利润同比下降15%，主要由于炼钢原料价格下跌和与马里亚纳大坝垮塌相关的准备金影响。尽管如此，该公司Q3的净利润达到24.1亿美元，超出分析师预期的16.5亿美元。净营收同比减少10%至95.5亿美元，与分析师预期的94.4亿美元相近。调整后的EBITDA为36.2亿美元，同比下降18%，略高于预期的36.1亿美元。据了解，淡水河谷的铁矿石产量在第三季度创下2018年以来的新高，但铁矿石精粉的实际价格却下跌了14%。
此外，公司预计第三季度盈利将反映超过9亿美元的新负债，与马里亚纳市附近致命大坝垮塌事故相关。
值得一提的是，淡水河谷计划与必和必拓及萨马科矿业公司共同签署一份价值300亿美元的赔偿协议，以解决这一事故的后续问题。
尽管面临这些挑战，淡水河谷的财务表现仍显示出一定程度的韧性，超出了市场预期。
