波音(BA.US)美国工人引发的大罢工对其供应商财务状况造成重创，其关键供应商Spirit AeroSystems(SPR.US)发言人周四表示，如果波音机械师的罢工持续到11月25日之后，该公司正在考虑休假或裁员数百名员工。
周三，波音机械师的罢工即将进入第六周，他们以64%的选票反对一项新提出的劳动合同，延长了罢工时间。罢工已导致波音大部分飞机停产，主要集中在西雅图地区。
Spirit为波音公司最畅销的737 Max飞机以及其他主要部件生产机身，该公司已经准备让其位于堪萨斯州威奇托的工厂的约700名工人暂时休假。这些为期21天的无薪休假将于下周开始。
Spirit发言人乔·布西诺表示，除了这些休假外，还将进一步裁员，但尚未做出决定。
Spirit考虑额外的无薪休假表明，漫长的罢工对本已脆弱的航空供应链造成了多大的压力。波音供应商对裁员基本上犹豫不决，部分原因是他们在新冠疫情后花了数年时间重建员工队伍。空客也面临着类似的供应链压力。
9月13日，俄勒冈普吉特海湾地区和其他地区的32000多名波音机械师在拒绝了之前的初步协议后罢工。
波音公司正在收购Spirit AeroSystems，预计这笔交易将于明年完成。Spirit一直在烧钱，周三公布第三季度净亏损4.77亿美元，是去年同期的两倍多。
波音公司新任首席执行官凯利·奥特伯格曾表示，与西雅图地区的机械师达成协议并结束罢工是首要任务，而工会也表示，他们渴望回到谈判桌上。
