San Miguel Brewery Hong Kong (HKG:0236) agreed to renew its SMBIL-SMBHK trademark license agreement with San Miguel Brewing International for another three years, ending on Dec. 31, 2027, a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
The company had been using the San Miguel-related trademarks in the production, sale, and distribution of beer in Hong Kong and Macau for three years under the parties' 2021 trademark license agreement.
As the current agreement expires on Dec. 31, the parties have decided to renew the agreement for another three years.
Under the agreement, the company will pay SMBIL one percent of the net sales of all of its products bearing the trademark.
The brewery's shares closed over 1% higher on Monday.
