BlockBeats 消息，10 月 28 日，据港媒信报披露，香港财政司司长陈茂波表示，自两年前发表数码资产政策宣言后，短期内已有多项进展，包括推出虚拟资产交易平台监管要求，至今有三个营运商获发牌，今年底前预计再有数个牌照可望发出，今年港府计划就此推动立法。
陈茂波还提到，未来两年金融领域的重要主题是：区块链以及人工智能（AI），政府拥抱新科技的同时也注意其带来的潜在风险，因此平衡及监管非常重要，今年以来亚洲最大的金融科技投资，3 宗在内地，2 宗在香港，可见香港金融科技市场具吸引力。
