1829 ET - Skechers sees an opportunity to build on its technical running, gold and pickleball footwear, with the addition of new categories to achieve further growth, Operating Chief David Weinberg says on a call with analysts. The company believes this product expansion will allow it to attract a broader audience. Skechers is also in the early stages of team sports such as basketball and soccer, Weinberg says. Still, Skechers remains focused on building efficiencies within its business to scale for profitable growth, the executive adds. Shares rise 5.5%, to $65.00, in post-market trading.
