谷歌母公司Alphabet旗下无人驾驶汽车部门Waymo完成了一轮56亿美元的融资，以将其自动驾驶出租车服务扩展到目前正在运营的洛杉矶、旧金山和凤凰城之外的地区。
Alphabet公司领导了对Waymo的C轮投资，早期的支持者包括Andreessen Horowitz、Fidelity、Perry Creek、Silver Lake、Tiger Global和T． Rowe Price等。
Waymo联合首席执行官Tekedra Mawakana和Dmitri Dolgov在一份声明中表示，他们将利用这笔资金来扩展和“继续推进”他们的技术，并用于扩展和推进Waymo Driver的商业应用。
