Talga Group (ASX:TLG) said it was awarded an EU Innovation Fund grant for its Luleå anode refinery, which is part of the Vittangi anode project in Sweden, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The battery anode and advanced materials company applied for a grant of 70 million euros, or about AU$115 million, under the IF23 call, the filing said.
Talga Group and other applicants are due to sign their grant agreements with the European Climate, Infrastructure, and Environment Executive Agency in the first quarter of 2025, the filing added.
Shares of the company rallied 12% in recent trade.
