ANZ Group Holdings (ASX:ANZ, NZE:ANZ) expects to incur a one-off net after tax charge of AU$196 million following its acquisition of Suncorp Group's (ASX:SUN) Suncorp Bank last July, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

This will lead to a two-basis-point reduction to ANZ's level 2 common equity tier 1 capital, the filing stated.

The impact will be applied to ANZ's statutory and cash profit for the second half of the financial year 2024.

ANZ Group's shares were down nearly 1% in recent Monday trade in Australia.
