The Atlanta-based company said it had profit of 55 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and non-recurring costs, came to 64 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 68 cents per share.
The packaging company posted revenue of $2.22 billion in the period, also missing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.3 billion.
Graphic Packaging expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.49 to $2.61 per share.
