英国金融时报$(FT)$报导，中国最大的咖啡连锁企业瑞幸咖啡正计划进军美国市场，以平价饮品与星巴克等对手竞争。这标志着该公司在因欺诈丑闻自纳斯达克退市并被罚款1.8亿美元后卷土重来。
两位知情人士透露，这家总部位于厦门的公司正为最快明年在美国推出产品奠定基础，建立供应链并为市场客制化技术。
知情人士称，瑞幸咖啡将瞄准纽约等拥有大量中国学生和游客的城市。一位知情人士称，该公司在NBA比赛期间一直投放广告，以在计划推出之前建立知名度。知情人士还说，瑞幸咖啡希望利用在中国销售平价咖啡的经验，透过销售售价约2或3美元的饮品，削弱美国现有企业的竞争。
