消息面上，ASMPT公布截至今年9月底止第三季业绩，期内销售收入33.45亿港元，同比跌3.7%；纯利2590.8万港元，同比升77.1%。花旗指出，ASMPT第三季收入和毛利率均超出预期，纯利则因汇兑亏损而未达预期。
该行指出，公司收入及毛利增长主要受惠于先进封装(AP)，而主流半导体解决方案(SEMI)复苏缓慢，表面贴装技术(SMT)则继续受到需求疲软的影响。该行指，公司预期第四季收入落在3.8亿美元至4.6亿美元之间，指引的中间值反映收入按年微跌3.5%和按季跌2%，差过市场预期。
