Air Canada Capacity Dragged by Macro Headwinds -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
01 Nov 2024

0818 ET - Air Canada's capacity growth is expected to rise at a slightly slower pace than previously expected. Executives say on an analyst call that the downgrade to 5% from a previous range of 5.5%-6.5% is due to supply chain pressures, aircraft availability and geopolitical conditions, such as the war in Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East. Looking ahead, they said "at this time, we're expecting mid-single digit capacity growth in 2025." (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
