消息面上，中国中铁发布截至2024年9月30日止第三季度业绩，该集团期内取得营业收入8184.79亿元(人民币，下同)，同比减少7.3%；归母净利润205.7亿元，同比减少14.33%；基本每股收益0.784元。花旗称，公司经营现金流面临挑战，今年首9个月出现712.57亿元人民币的净现金流出。虽然第四季是现金回笼的旺季，但公司到今年底可能无法实现正现金流。
该行续指，中国内地即将出台的刺激措施可能会解决地方政府的债务问题，这将有利于公司降低应收账款风险并加快项目启动。申万宏源认为，公司收缩规模增长，聚焦质量提升，随着行业进入存量时代，企业规模增长放缓更有利于资产质量提升，叠加当前化债政策持续推进，重点关注政策落地实效。
