Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are separated by a razor-thin margin in two Southern battleground states, new CNN polls of likely voters show. Trump had a 1-percentage point lead in Georgia, while Harris led by the same margin in North Carolina. Both are within the margin of error, meaning that either candidate could actually be ahead.
Both campaigns are devoting significant time and financial resources to winning over undecided and unmotivated voters in the Peach and Tar Heel states during the final stretch of the campaign.
