Aerospace and defense company Hanwha Systems (KRX:272210) and HJ Shipbuilding & Construction (KRX:097230) signed a memorandum of understanding in end-October to jointly work on warship exports, Pulse News reported Tuesday.
Under the deal, HJ Shipbuilding will lead in construction technology, while Hanwha Systems will provide core equipment such as combat management systems and radar, the report said.
Shares of Hanwha Systems jumped nearly 10% while those of HJ Shipbuilding increased 9% at market close on Thursday.
