Baidu (BIDU) is planning to reveal smart glasses with a built-in AI assistant at its annual Baidu World event in Shanghai next week, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing a person familiar with the schedule.
The gadget will have built-in cameras and will support voice interactions powered by Baidu's Ernie AI model, the report said.
It is likely to sell for less than the $299 price of Meta's (META) popular Ray-Ban smart glasses and may start as soon as next year, the report said.
Baidu did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
