Dongfeng Motor Group (HKG:0489) sold 160,219 vehicles in October, down from 250,624 in the year-ago period and 41,978 new energy vehicles during the month, down from 46,908 a year ago.

Production volume for the vehicles for October stood at 140,791 units, and 43,931 for new energy vehicles, compared with 187,930 units and 42,477 units respectively for the same month last year, according to a Tuesday Hong Kong Exchange filing.

For the first 10 months of 2024, Dongfeng's sales volume rose 10% year on year to a little over 1.5 million units.

Dongfeng Motor Corp., the company's parent firm, saw total sales of 2.01 million units for the 10-month period, marking a 4.5% year-on-year increase.

Meanwhile, unit Dongfeng Automobile's (SHA:600006) sales slid by 0.8% to 126,619 units between January and October.
