Japanese cloud-based POS provider Smaregi (TYO:4431) disclosed a final monthly update on registered store numbers, marking a pivot toward focusing on annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth targets under its revised long-term strategy, according to a Wednesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
In October, the number of fee-paying stores using Smaregi's services reached 39,327, a monthly increase of 994 stores, while total active stores, including those on no-fee plans, grew to 47,089.
Notable growth was seen in the Premium Plus plan, which added 755 new stores, and the retail business category, which increased by 105 stores.
