JPMorgan Chase (JPM) Chief Executive Jamie Dimon is not planning to join Donald Trump's administration, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing an unnamed person with knowledge of the matter.
The veteran banker will stay with JPMorgan, the report said, following speculations about him being a candidate for Treasury secretary by both Republicans and Democrats.
Ahead of Tuesday's US presidential election, Dimon recently described his chances of taking an official post as "almost nil," according to the report.
JPMorgan did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
JPMorgan shares were up more than 11% in recent trading.
