Financial stocks were edging higher premarket Wednesday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) recently advancing by 5.1%.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up almost 15% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 15.3% lower.
MarketAxess Holdings (MKTX) shares were up more than 3% after the company reported higher Q3 earnings and revenue.
American Financial Group (AFG) shares advanced by over 7% after the company reported an increase in Q3 revenue.
Hamilton Lane (HLNE) shares were up over 1% after the company reported higher fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue.
