Credit Agricole's Results Seem Underwhelming -- Market Talk

0801 GMT - Credit Agricole's lower provisions offset softer revenues in the third quarter, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods says in a research note. Much of the focus is expected to be around the French lender's insurance weakness and general net interest income trends, analysts Thomas Hallett and Andrew Stimpson write. The bank performed better in its investment bank and French retail but asset gathering and structured financial solutions underwhelmed, they add. Credit Agricole backed its net income group share guidance for the year. Besides that, outlook commentary was limited, analysts say.(elena.vardon@wsj.com)
