American Airlines (AAL), JetBlue Airways (JBLU), and Spirit Airlines (SAVE) have halted all flights to and from Toussaint Louverture airport in Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince after two aircraft showed signs of gunfire damage, media outlets and airlines reported late Monday.
JetBlue said in a statement it was extending suspension of flights to Haiti until next month after its flight 935 showed signs of bullet damage upon returning from Port-au-Prince.
Spirit Airlines (SAVE) suspended all flights to two Haiti airports after it was forced to divert a landing passenger plane to the nearby Dominican Republic when it was struck by gunfire in an incident which injured a flight attendant, Reuters reported.
American Airlines and Spirit Airlines did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
