消息面上，中国有色金属工业协会有关负责人就当前氧化铝市场答记者问：我们认为，氧化铝价格走势存在非理性因素，资本过度投机炒作明显。按照当前成本和价格测算，氧化铝行业平均利润达2000元/吨以上，不可持续，也不应该持续。
汇丰研究发表报告指，由于旺季已过，氧化铝供应瓶颈问题将逐渐解决，预期近期将面临一些不利因素。不过，该行仍然看好明年的铝价，预期边际利润将持续上升，估值仍维持在低位。花旗此前表示，中铝今年第三季度毛利同比及按季分别下跌16%及39%，主要由于铝冶炼资产折旧调整、电费附加调整、铝土矿储量调整。该行认为业绩表现不佳或会导致该股面临短期获利回吐压力，故中止对其积极催化剂观察。
