跨度8500公里，诺基亚完成全球首个基于1Tbps光网络的800GE IP业务验证
IT之家 11 月 12 日消息，诺基亚、Windstream Wholesale（WW）和 Colt Technology Services（Colt）今日宣布成功完成全球首个跨度为 8500 公里、覆盖海底和陆地商用光缆的 800GE 业务验证。
这次测试将英国伦敦与美国芝加哥连接起来，通过连接两个金融交易中心城市，该测试正在探索下一代波长、容量、速率和延迟方面的极限，测试表明了现有网络在提升容量、速率和延迟方面的潜力，同时能够降低连接欧洲和美国主要线路上的能耗。
此次现网测试将 Colt 的其中一条跨大西洋海底光缆及其一部分陆地光网络与 Windstream Wholesale 的美国国内低延迟智能融合光网络（ICON）相连接，并监测其速率和性能。Colt 和 Windstream Wholesale 合作，共同展示了全球首个通过 1Tbps 光传输网络来实现从路由器到路由器的 800GE 端到端业务传输。
IT之家从公告中获悉，测试使用了诺基亚基于第六代相干光子业务引擎 PSE-6s 的光传输平台和 7750 SR 路由平台。测试的成功标志着 800GE 业务带宽速率的突破，并将现有容量翻倍，可支持 AI 数据中心网络、内容分发网络和金融数据中心连接等高级网络应用。
诺基亚表示，此次测试成功后，合作伙伴们目前正在探索如何将 800GE 连接服务推向市场，以为全球企业客户提供服务。
