nib holdings (ASX:NHF) issued an underlying operating guidance of AU$235 million to AU$250 million for fiscal 2025, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The insurer's policyholders increased 52% in the first four months of the year at an annualized growth rate of 3.2%, the filing said. However, an increase in claims from its New Zealand business is expected to result in an operating loss of AU$10 million in the fiscal first half.
nib holdings' shares fell almost 3% in recent Tuesday trade and earlier hit their lowest since April 2021.
