智通财经APP获悉，在盈透证券(IBKR.US)于美国总统大选中获得成功后，该公司创始人Thomas Peterffy表示，预测市场有着“巨大的”增长潜力。据悉，盈透证券上个月在美国总统大选前推出了预测服务，与其他公司一起提供对具体政治结果给出是或否答案的“预测合约”。该公司表示，自推出以来，截至11月6日中午，该公司名为ForecastEx的预测市场产品的总统选举合约总交易量超过5.6亿美元。
Thomas Peterffy表示：“我们必须对这些问题采取现实、理性的态度，做到这一点的方法是让人们参与到这些市场中来，告诉我们他们的想法。”
在11月5日之前，许多预测网站都密切关注着特朗普可能赢得总统大选，尽管他们的预测与许多民意调查的结果相矛盾。Thomas Peterffy表示，了解公众对存在问题的“共识意见”，有助于做出未来的决定。他表示：“这是一种比我们现在的方式更好的管理世界的方式，我们现在的方式是试图猜测。”
