沙特主权基金再减任天堂持股 中东游戏中心梦受挫?
智通财经APP获悉，沙特阿拉伯主权财富基金进一步减持任天堂(NTDOY.US)股份，加剧了自8月起的抛售潮。据日本财务省文件显示，公共投资基金(PIF)已将其在京都总部任天堂的持股比例由7.5%减至6.3%，并在截至10月的六周内抛售超过1700万股股票。这一举动导致任天堂在东京的股价下跌4%，与早前共同社9月报道的PIF可能增持《超级马里奥兄弟》开发商股份的消息形成鲜明对比。
尽管面临减持，沙特基金仍凭借约9300亿美元的资产管理规模，保持为任天堂的主要股东之一。沙特政府正大力投资，已斥资380亿美元收购日本和韩国游戏公司股份，旨在将中东地区打造为电子游戏中心。
为此，沙特于7月成功举办首届电子竞技世界杯，并计划明年推出首届奥运会电子竞技比赛，期望通过让利雅得成为行业中心，推动经济多元化，减少对石油的依赖。
作为推动国家多元化议程的重要力量，PIF主要被视为博彩业的长期投资者，寻求建立战略合作伙伴关系，而非追求短期股权收益。然而，受预算赤字影响，PIF在投资本地项目上的能力受限，因此正逐步将重心转向国内经济发展。
