智通财经APP获悉，绿光资本(Greenlight Capital)创始人兼总裁艾因霍恩(David Einhorn)表示，他已持有农业机械公司CNH Industrial(CNH.US)的中等规模头寸。受此消息提振，CNH Industrial周三美股盘后涨超8%。不过，该股今年迄今跌近14%，明显落后于美股大盘。
艾因霍恩表示，随着农业机械行业接近熊市周期的末尾，这家农业机械公司是一个不为人知的价值投资对象。他表示：“这正是目前绝对没有人关心的情况，因为它很便宜，而且未来一段时间的消息不会很好。”“农产品价格很低，农业设备正在结束下降周期。”
艾因霍恩指出，CNH Industrial的派息率超过4%，同时该公司也在积极回购股票，“几乎没有什么财务杠杆，明年某个时候、甚至可能在2026年初，人们将开始设想该股在经济周期的顶部会有几美元的收益”。
这位知名投资者认为，随着老旧设备最终需要更换，需求将会恢复。他表示：“曾经有一段时间，农业设备的购买出现了一些繁荣，现在这已经变成了周期性的萧条。这些东西来了又走。”“今年，农业设备行业在整个循环周期结束时可能较平均水平低20%，三四年后的某个时候，它可能会高出20%。这就是这些企业运作的本质。”
