Brahmaputra Infrastructure's Consolidated Profit Plunges in Fiscal Q2

Brahmaputra Infrastructure (BOM:535693) witnessed a sharp decline in its consolidated profit to 3.90 million Indian rupees in the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 against 38.30 million rupees a year ago.

Earnings per share contracted to 0.13 rupees compared with the year-ago figure of 1.32 rupees, according to a BSE filing on Monday by the infrastructure services provider.

Net income from operations in fiscal Q2 also increased to 322.10 million rupees from 606.10 million rupees a year earlier.

Shares of the company were up nearly 1% in recent trade.
