智通财经APP获悉，11月19日，葛兰素史克(GSK.US)宣布III期GLISTEN研究取得了积极结果。该研究旨在评估回肠胆汁酸转运蛋白(IBAT)抑制剂Linerixibat治疗原发性胆汁性胆管炎(PBC，一种罕见的自身免疫性肝病)相关的胆汁淤积性瘙痒(持续瘙痒)成人患者的疗效和安全性。
PBC是一种罕见的胆道疾病，主要影响女性，如果不进行治疗，可能导致肝脏损伤甚至肝衰竭。其最常见的症状之一就是持续的、难以忍受的瘙痒感以及疲劳，夜间瘙痒往往会加剧疲劳感。目前，该病尚无治愈方法。到2030年，全球被诊断为PBC的患者将达到51万例，其中超过24万人将遭受难以忍受的瘙痒症状，需要接受治疗，这代表着存在巨大的未满足医疗需求。当前指南中建议的针对胆汁淤积性瘙痒的疗法并不充分，对瘙痒的缓解作用有限，且耐受性不佳。
Linerixibat是一种口服的IBAT抑制剂，通过抑制胆汁酸的再摄取，旨在从根本上解决胆汁淤积性瘙痒。
