QuidelOrtho (QDEL) said Tuesday it is starting an underwritten secondary offering of about 8.3 million shares of its common stock by Carlyle Partners VI Cayman.
The company said all proceeds will go to the selling shareholder and it will not receive any proceeds from the offering.
On completion of the offering, Carlyle Partners VI Cayman will not beneficially own any shares of the QuidelOrtho, the company added.
Shares of the company fell 6.4% in recent after-hours activity.
