上云鼻祖Netflix因泰森拳赛大规模宕机！员工：周末不想加班修bug
快科技11月17日消息，据媒体报道，在日前备受瞩目的泰森与保罗拳击比赛期间，Netflix平台却遭遇了大规模服务中断。
这场赛事对Netflix订阅用户免费开放，但直播过程中频繁出现缓冲和错误提示，导致用户体验极差。
据Downdetector.com记录，共有13895份中断报告，其中86%的投诉与视频流问题有关。
Netflix作为云计算的先行者，拥有深厚的技术积累，但此次中断问题让许多用户开始质疑Netflix应对高流量直播的能力。
值得一提的是，这两天Hacker News上正热议一起Netflix“并发”生产事故，前Netflix员工Matthew Hawthorne分享了一个案例。
故障同样也是发生在周五下午，Netflix的工程师解决并发问题的方式并不是先进行相应的扩容，而是写了个自动随机终止实例的程序以避免周末加班。
等到周一，再由客户端团队部署修复补丁，重新启用自动缩放功能。
而且他也以该解决方案的实用性自豪，也同时庆幸这个方案让他们“度过了一个轻松的周末”。
对此有网友打趣说，“我认为这正是云计算胜出的最佳例证之一。实例出现问题？直接销毁它，然后启动一个新的。让亚马逊团队来解决问题吧。”
