Societe Generale in its early Monday economic news summary pointed out:

-- US dollar and 10-year United States Ttreasury yields consolidate, US President Biden authorizes use by Ukraine of long range ATACMS missiles against Russia. President-elect Trump mulling over Treasury pick: Kevin Warsh (ex Federal Reserve), Marc Rowan and Bill Hagerty added to list of candidates. Fed pricing for December meeting steady at -11bps.

-- Week ahead: US housing starts and building permits, Philly Fed, jobless claims, Nvidia Q3 results. Eurozone Q3 negotiated wages, PMI final consumer price index. United Kingon's CPI, PMI. China's central bank to keep one- and five-year LPRs unchanged. Hungary, Turkey and Indonesia central banks forecast to keep rates on hold. South Africa's central bank estimated to cut 25bps. CPI for Canada, Japan and South Africa.

-- CFTC weekly foreign exchange positions: Euro shorts cut to -1.2%, yen shorts raised to 25.2%, sterling longs increased to 26.4%, Australian dollar longs steady at 17.3%, Canadian dollar shorts upped to 53.2% and Swiss franc shorts raised to 41.7%, Mexico peso longs trimmed to 13.7%.

-- Nikkei -1.1%, EUR 10-year IRS +1.5bps at 2.31%, Brent crude +0.3% at $71.2/barrel, Gold +0.8% at $2,583/oz.
