美国疾病控制与预防中心（CDC）当地时间周日表示，美国18个州几家大型食品杂货零售商销售的新鲜胡萝卜感染大肠杆菌，已造成一人死亡，至少39人患病。
美国疾病控制与预防中心在一份声明中说，这些感染与加州Grimmway农场销售的整袋胡萝卜和小胡萝卜有关。沃尔玛、塔吉特、克罗格、亚马逊旗下全食超市和Trader Joe’s等商店以各种品牌销售这种胡萝卜。
美国疾病控制与预防中心表示，这些胡萝卜不太可能还在商店货架上，但可能仍在消费者家中，应该扔掉。
美国食品和药物管理局（FDA）周六表示，Grimmway农场已经自愿召回这些胡萝卜，这些胡萝卜也被运往加拿大和波多黎各的商店。
被召回的整根胡萝卜的最佳食用日期从8月14日到10月23日不等。被召回的小胡萝卜的食用日期为9月11日至11月12日。
